Molly Proffer trained for her career in video production by majoring in philosophy at Vassar. (After writing about Kant for four years, she decided to switch to something easier: anything else.) As president, Molly focuses on marketing the business and does much of the scripting for clients. She also directs and oversees production and has the best view in the office.

Don Proffer is responsible for the vision of the company. His ideas are its true north. As co-founder, he partners with clients to help them define their communication objectives and brings the talents of the entire team to bear in meeting them. And Don is always happy to hold client meetings on the golf course.

John first dove into video production editing late at night in the basement of the video store he worked at while in college. Today he is a trusted, insightful producer here at Proffer and works with clients from concept to completion of projects. John still enjoys movie watching but has a newer hobby the company enjoys – home beer brewing.

Melanie came to us as a refugee from the legal profession. Now she’s having fun exercising her right brain in an environment that’s anti-precedent. As business manager, Melanie is in charge of operations and accounting. More generally, she enjoys and contributes to everything we do, and the name Smiley fits her to a T.

Tyler Mleynek learned the ropes in production at Full Sail University in Florida and came to Proffer with a news background. Now he splits his time between videography and editing and is a sponge for new techniques and technologies in both. Tyler is also a gifted still photographer and is the best foosball player in the company.

Jamie Hitchings, our Digital Diva, earned her title traveling the country teaching video editing. From NYU to the TED Conferences to the United Nations to leading the Education Initiative at the Final Cut Pro Users Group New York City, she spread the craft of turning raw footage into masterpieces.
